Creative Scholar

Prof. C. Mrunalini, Chair of Telugu Program in Aria, is a renowned critic and writer in Telugu. Her Ph.D thesis on Narrative Techniques of Telugu Novel (1985)  is the very first research wok on the subject from any University in the Telugu States.  To this day this Ph.D work is cited in every research book on Telugu fiction.

She has supervised many theses on Novel and Short Story during her 25 years tenure in Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University. Through her innumerable lectures all over the Telugu States and through Zoom meetings, she has given training to aspiring fiction writers. For the past two decades, she has been on the jury panel for short story and novel competitions held both in India and in the U.S and has often formed guidelines  on how to write a short story or novel. She herself is a creative writer with two collections of stories (around 60 stories) already published and more to come out in book form soon.
