This immersive course combines dedicated yoga practices with biomechanics to enhance posture, alignment, strength, and injury prevention for Indian classical dancers. Course Aim

Course Objectives

This program focuses on the importance of understanding Bio-Mechanics for a performing artist to prevent the risk of injuries over prolonged incorrect alignment of the body. 

Learning Outcomes

Adjunct Professor

 

Highly organized and dedicated research professional with over 4 years of experience managing international and multi-site clinical studies. Expertise in clinical trial coordination, project management, and compliance with GCP guidelines. Skilled in data analysis using advanced software, with a strong track record of contributing to high-impact research publications. Adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes in translational and clinical environments.

Dr Kousthubha holds a Master in Clinical Neurology (Merit) from University of Sheffield and Bachelor in Integrative Medicine from SVYASA University.
Dr Kousthubha is a Consultant for Neurology & Sports Medicine Rehabilitation at SVYASA University & VHG Pvt Ltd. He has worked as an Associate Researcher at The University of Sheffield, a Clinical Trial Manager at SVYASA University in collaboration with MD Anderson Cancer Center, a Project Manager at SVYASA University in collaboration with University of Nottingham. He has also worked for more than a year as a Consultant at KWA Klinik Stiff Rottal, Germany.
Dr Kousthubha has led many International and Multi-Center research projects with impactful outcomes with his advanced expertise in neuroscience and integrative medicine.

Manasa B R 

Adjunct Professor

Manasa B R is a multiskilled teaching professional and a research scholar who has a profound expertise in  Yoga Therapy Bharatanatyam, Soft Skill and many more. She has completed Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Therapy and Master of Science in Yoga from prestigious SVYASA- Deemed to be University, India. Having trained under great gurus since the age of 3, Manasa is a professional Bharatanatyam Dancer, Teacher and Choreographer serving the field of art for around 2 decades. She is currently pursuing PhD in Yoga under the division of Yoga & Humanities from SVYASA University. 
 
Manasa has served as Assistant Professor under the Division of Yoga and Humanities at SVYASA University, as an International Coordinator for VYASA International Centers, Asia Pacific Yoga Therapy Association. She was fortunate to work under the guidance of Padmashri Dr H R Nagendra Ji, Chancellor of SVYASA University as his Secretary under World Yogasana. She has also been a guest faculty at Vivekananda Health Global and many other healthcare centers and educational Institutions teaching various Yoga based programs.  She played a key role in organizing and coordinating numerous international conferences, bridging cultural and academic gaps with finesse and professionalism. 
 
In addition to her academic and therapeutic pursuits, Manasa has excelled as a Master of Ceremony (MC) for many prestigious events. Her eloquence and charismatic stage presence have made her a sought-after MC, enhancing the experience of conferences, festivals, and other high-profile gatherings. Whether leading a cultural event or addressing an audience at a conference, her poise, confidence, and communication skills have left a lasting impact on attendees.  
 
A passionate advocate for holistic well-being, she seamlessly integrates ancient traditions with modern therapeutic practices. As a Yoga Therapist, she has guided many individuals toward physical healing and mental clarity, using yoga as a powerful tool for personal transformation. Her expertise in Bharatanatyam, both as a dancer and teacher, has led her to perform on various prestigious stages nationally and internationally, and mentor the next generation of classical dancers with dedication and care holding on to the roots of her Guru Parampara. Having a spiritual and traditional background, Manasa has shaped her teaching methodology combining the aspects of Yoga and Bharatanatyam.
